Human Resources

All university employees are covered by Workers’ Compensation Insurance, for which the university pays the full premium. Employees injured on the job should report all injuries immediately (or as soon as possible) to their supervisor and go to the Wellness Center.  Supervisors are then required to notify Human Resources immediately. The Wellness Center may refer you on or after hours you should visit the Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care in Weaverville, NC.    Both the injured employee and the employee's supervisor should complete the correct accident report.  Email buffy_fowler@mhu.edu for the correct form to complete.
