Dear Yogis -
In case you have not heard, there is a very special lecture happening at UNCA tomorrow evening. Richard Davidson, a neuroscientist from the University of Wisconsin, is speaking about "Well Being as a Skill". This is based on his years of research on mindfulness, meditation, and psychological outcomes. He is a close friend of the Dalai Lama, and many of his early research projects on mindfulness were inspired by their conversations. He is a fascinating speaker, and I highly recommend you attend his talk - and it's free (to those that arrive early enough.... and it will fill up!). Here are the details: https://www.unca.edu/events-and-news/event/richard-davidson-lecture-well-being-is-a-skill/
That leads me to the second reason I'm writing. Dr. Davidson is also offering a master class on Friday morning that I'd like to attend, and I am concerned that I will not make it to campus in time to offer the Friday yoga class. I'm sorry to do this, but hope you understand if I cancel. Of course, you can also come to Dr. Davidson's class! Here is that information: https://www.unca.edu/events-and-news/event/richard-davidson-master-class/
Thanks for understanding, and participating in our Breathing Room!
Namaste,
Jonna
