We have a plan for the spring! Classes will start next week (1/20) and will follow this schedule:
Intro to Mindfulness Meditation (Guided) - Mondays 12-12:30pm with Phyllis Smith
A mindfulness practice allows us to be in the moment – the only time to live fully and freely that we have. Or, as Andrew Olendzki says in his book This Moment Is Unique: “You only have one shot at this moment – don’t miss it.” Science has clearly shown that incorporating a mindfulness practice helps reduce stress, anxiety, physical pain, lower high blood pressure, as well as other mental and physical benefits. This will provide the basics for beginning a mindfulness practice.
Back to Basics. Wednesdays 3-4pm with Greta Keiper-Blake
This will be a class that builds skills week-by-week. It is perfect for those new to yoga or those looking to refresh their skills.
Weekly Unwind. Fridays 11:30am-12:30pm with Jonna Kwiatkowski
This yoga class will focus on breathing and movement techniques that can relieve stress, giving you more space to unwind at the end of the week.
