Intake Specialist/Medical Records Clerk
Grimes Teich Anderson, LLP, a personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced,
knowledgeable, and organized individual to assist the personal injury department. Successful
candidates will be responsible for assisting with screening potential clients, opening case files,
gathering evidence from clients, medical providers, law enforcement agencies, lienholders and
other entities to ensure all evidence is available for paralegals and attorneys to successfully and
efficiently represent our clients. GTA offers competitive wages based on experience, health
insurance and 401(k).
Job Description:
· Proactively communicating with clients, medical providers, law enforcement agencies,
lien servicers, and any relevant entities necessary to obtain information and evidence.
· Entering data into case management software and tracking progress of requested
evidence and records/bills
· Sending letters of representation, spoliation letters to insurers and those in possession of
material evidence
· Opening Medicare and Medicaid claims via internet portals.
· Taking witness statements when applicable
· Process records on a daily basis
· Handle record invoicing
· Keeping paralegals and attorneys appraised of status of items obtained or needed for new
case files.
· Handling a high volume of cases, ensuring cases move through the process in a timely
manner, while ensuring exceptional client service.
· Any other clerical duties as needed
Requirements:
Experience handling personal injury cases and handling medical records and medical
terminology in a personal injury law firm is preferred, but not necessary. Experience with
customer service is preferred. A willingness to learn and a passion to be of service to those in
our community who have been injured and who are relying on us to help them is paramount.
The applicant must be highly organized and able to prioritize work to ensure job responsibilities
are completed timely and accurately. The applicant must be proficient with computers and
capable of adapting to new software when necessary. Applicants must have outstanding
communication skills and be able to quickly build rapport with prospective and new clients, as
well as insurance adjusters, other professional service providers, paralegals and attorneys.
Medical Records Clerk

knowledgeable, and organized individual to assist the medical records department. Successful
candidates will be responsible for ordering and processing medical records and bills, gathering
provider information, follow-up on outstanding requests and utilizing firm software to track
requests. GTA offers competitive wages based on experience, health insurance and 401(k).
Job Description:

entities necessary to obtain records;
• Entering data into case management software and tracking progress of requested records;
• Keeping paralegals and attorneys appraised of status of items obtained or needed for case
files;
• Manage any appropriate software on a daily basis;
• Process records on a daily basis;
• Handle record invoicing;
• Any other clerical duties as needed.
