DCLA Application, Implementation, and Reporting Materials

In fall 2017, MHU applied for the CIC's Diversity, Civility, and Liberal Arts Institute, but we were not accepted into the program. In fall 2018, MHU were invited to reapply to the DCLA Institute. This time we were accepted, and John Omachonu (Provost), Alaysia Black Hackett (Dir. of the DEI Office), Elizabeth Whiting Pierce (Assist. Prof. of Phil. and Dir. of the Center for Ethics) and Kimberly Reigle (Assoc. Prof. of English) attended the institute in Atlanta in summer 2019. We implemented the DCLA Initiative fall 2019-spring 2020, and submitted our initial outcomes in January 2020.
